Roles & permissions
What viewers, members, admins and owners can do in ABlyft.
Every team member has exactly one role for the team. The role applies to all projects of that team. You choose it when you invite someone and can change it later.
The four roles

| Member | Can look at everything and create, edit and delete experiments and their building blocks. |
| Admin | Everything a member can do, plus manage users (except owners) and the team, and archive or delete projects. |
| Owner | Everything an admin can do, plus manage other owners, single sign-on and AI settings. Your own account starts as owner. |

Admins can also open the Single Sign-On page to see the status and download the service provider metadata.
Only owners manage owners
Admins can invite members, change roles up to Admin and remove members. They cannot invite owners, give someone the owner role, change an owner's role or remove an owner. Only owners can. Nobody can change their own role or remove themselves. Give the admin and owner roles only to people who manage your team.
Choosing a role
- Stakeholders and clients who only need to read results: Viewer.
- Marketers, product managers, designers and analysts who build and run experiments: Member.
- Team leads who invite colleagues and manage projects: Admin.
- The person responsible for the account, including single sign-on and AI decisions: Owner. A team can have several owners. Only owners can add, change or remove other owners.
