Contentsquare
Send the experiments and variations a visitor saw to Contentsquare as a dynamic variable for segments and filters.
ABlyft has a built-in Contentsquare integration. Once it is active, ABlyft sends a dynamic variable with the experiment and variation to Contentsquare. You use the variable to analyze the variations.
What you need
- The Contentsquare tag version 5.19.0 or later is installed on your pages. The command is not available on older tags.
Activate the integration
- Open Project → Integrations.
- Find the Contentsquare card and switch the toggle from Not active to Activated.
- Confirm. ABlyft republishes the project.
There are no settings for this integration.
What you get
| Name | Value |
|---|---|
| Dynamic variable key | Name of the experiment (up to 512 characters) |
| Dynamic variable value | Name of the variation (up to 255 characters) |
The variable is sent on Experiment viewed: every time the experiment runs for the visitor, which means on every page view where the experiment runs. Use short names, so that you stay within the limits.

Where you see the data in Contentsquare
Dynamic variables are key-value pairs that Contentsquare provides for segmentation and analysis. Each experiment creates its own key, named after the experiment, and the variation name is the value. After the first sessions have arrived, use the key (experiment name) and the value (variation name) in your segments and filters to compare the variations.
Check the setup
- Open your site with a running experiment.
- In the network requests to Contentsquare, check that data is sent after the page loaded.
- After some sessions, check in Contentsquare that the dynamic variable appears.
Notes
The integration does not run when tracking is disabled for the visitor (opt-out or Do Not Track). Contentsquare may need its own consent category in your consent tool. Many experiments create many dynamic variables.
